cpa.ShoeFactory’s stock management is optimally adapted to the needs of the footwear industry. You always have a picture of the current stock situation of a material, no matter where it might be – in your warehouse, in production or still in transit. This allows you to control stocks, or changes as well as material consumption in real time while taking into account material-specific properties. This means that a material for a particular shoe can be stocked under a single material number for an assortment spanning several sizes. Precisely as you need it!
You can also manage your stocks on a batch basis. cpa.ShoeFactory determines which quantities are to be taken from which stored batches. Conversely, if too much material is withdrawn, it can be returned to storage on a batch basis for absolute traceability.

Alternatively, you can manage your stocks based on a quality grade – leather for example – and then link a wide range of properties to the respective quality grade in cpa.ShoeFactory. This can be done for an incoming orders entry, fixed assortment management or storage location control.

To summarise, using cpa.ShoeFactory enables you to monitor the flow of materials and values across all locations and obtain a clear picture of material availability. This takes orders, material transport and reservations into consideration, both retrospectively over an entire season and into the future.

Requirements – determine, plan and order automatically.

This module facilitates your planning through use of information on open and met requirements from customer orders, forecasts and projections as well as warehouse, transport and production stocks. It enables you to determine material requirements for your products at a very early stage of their life cycle. And how does this work? Demands calculated on the basis of initial forecasts are continuously updated automatically through incoming customer orders resulting in more detailed and specific information. Automated order proposals, for example, can be generated on the basis of demand and consumption data.

Quality management – classification at the beginning of the value chain.

Classifying leather into different qualities is a typical challenge in shoe production. This constitutes an important factor for further processing. cpa.ShoeFactory provides you with various options to determine the quality on an individual basis and to set up quality inspection processes for this purpose. You can either perform an inspection at your supplier's premises or at the warehouse in your incoming goods section. A collaboration with testing institutes can also be established which will enable you to easily satisfy all quality management requirements and ensure the quality of your products in the long term.

• Material transfer: deal with logistical requirements for in-house storage, handling and transport processes in no time at all. For example by using mobile, web-based equipment solutions in warehouse logistics.
• Merchandise planning: simplify your merchandise purchasing. You simply need to enter the quantity required – the order is then generated from corresponding master data.
• Stocktaking: to run an inventory in your warehouse, which may be required by law, you have the choice between permanent stocktaking or performing it on a specified date. Simply integrate the offered mobile and barcode-supported finished goods stocktaking that includes also parcels.
